LittleThings Shine: Singer-Songwriter Lily Green Reveals What Inspires Her To Make Music

by Ann-Sophie Kaemmerle
Native New Yorker, University of Virginia graduate, runner, and sometimes stand-up performer.

Singer-songwriter Lily Green may be only 16 years old, but she has a voice she wants people everywhere to hear!

The ambitious teen has already been featured on TV’s The Voice, and though she was eliminated, she’s not letting this dampen her dreams.

You can say that Lily was born into singing: her mother was onstage singing and dancing in the Broadway production of Titanic when Green was in her belly. Through the years, and with support from her entire family, Lily developed an interest in singing and a talent for it. In no time, she was composing and writing her own tunes. Now, just about anything will inspire her; but most of all, her family does. She says her songs, like those of many artists, focus on emotion, especially sadness. Folk music, which is the genre Lily focuses on, is the perfect way to convey these thoughts.

With her ambitious nature, she hopes her efforts will come to fruition, and that audiences everywhere will hear her music.

Now watch Lily as she demonstrates her impeccable voice and evocative songwriting.

Please SHARE if you hope to hear more songs by Lily Green in the future!
