There’s nothing like getting to pet a fuzzy little animal.
Though it’s supposed to be something that makes them happy, I think the act makes the petter just as pleased as the pet-receiver.
Petting seems like it would only benefit fluffy pets like cats and dogs, since those are the primary animals we’re able to get close to without much difficulty.
But apparently other types of animals — ones you’d never expect — like to be scratched and pet, too.
Even reptiles, who have no fur and are far from cuddly in my mind, like to get a little tummy rub now and again.
The same goes for birds. Though they’re super feathery and I’ve never seen one snuggle up to anyone, they too enjoy a little petting.
The owl in the video down below likes to be pet right on his fuzzy head. The clip begins with him hopping around a little toy with a fuzzy pom-pom on top of it — is it a special bird toy?
Regardless of what it is, it makes an excellent head-scratcher and the little bird is very adamant about getting as many pets in as possible.
Everyone likes a little affection now and then. And baby birds are no different!
