I am a huge fan of tiny houses.

I have probably looked at every type of tiny house imaginable. But I had never heard of a tiny library. And when I say tiny? I mean the size of a mailbox!

For the past five years, little libraries have been sprouting up all over the nation. The nonprofit Little Free Library aims to bring tiny libraries to children and adults around the world. And the best part? Literally anyone can start a little library. All you have to do is build or buy one and fill it with books.

The goal of Little Free Libraries is “to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges worldwide.” This incredible organization has inspired people everywhere. People have gotten very creative with their libraries, and they have begun to post their photos all over social media. By January of this year, Little Free Libraries counted that there were nearly 25,000 tiny libraries built, with thousands more on the way.
