Crocodile Attacks Young Lion As He Crosses River, Then His Big Brother Leaps Into Action

Who do you think would win in a fight: a crocodile or a lion?

While I’d never want to fight either, or be within 500 feet of a fight between those two, I would bet my money on the King Of The Jungle!

But one crocodile decided to test his luck and go for a younger lion to see if he could get a little taste.

The only problem was, the lion’s older brother was there to back him up. And, as any older sibling knows, there’s only one person — or lion — that’s allowed to mess with a little brother or sister!

The two lions were filmed trying to cross the Linyanti river at Wilderness Safaris’ King’s Pool camp when a crocodile crept up to attack the smaller lion.

Taken by surprise, the younger lion didn’t put up much of a fight, but that is OK since his big brother had his back.

Both lions got away unscathed, though on different sides of the river.

One witness wrote, “The older one then attacks the crocodile and effectively saves his younger brother before going under the water; the younger one started swimming back and we thought the older one was gone, but then we saw him pull himself into the reeds — incredibly, they both survived with no injuries!”

Not all lions are brave and fierce, just check out this video of a big cat getting scared by a tiny bubble.
