Jess is a curly-haired Jersey girl who adores penguins and watches the worst reality shows on TV.

In 1997, the movie Titanic definitively put Leonardo DiCaprio on the map. Although he was a child star, his career was boosted enormously after the James Cameron film debuted, and Leo became a true household name.

Ever since he was stuck on a sinking ship with Kate Winslet, Leo has shared the screen with many other leading ladies. But when he was asked about his favorite onscreen kiss, the actor’s answer was quite simple.

In the video from December 6, 2004, Leo sits down as Oprah’s guest, and a live audience member asks him a very important question.

She asks, “Who was your favorite leading-lady kiss?”

Leo thinks for a moment and replies, “Oh boy. There’s going to be some mad actresses if I don’t say this right.”

The crowd erupts in laughter while they wait for the actor to makes his final decision. Then, he confesses, “I’m just going to go with Kate Winslet. Good old classic.”

Everyone cheers, and Oprah smiles at him after hearing his choice. She then shows a clip from 1998 of Kate gushing about her relationship with Leo while they filmed Titanic.

After watching it, Leo smiles and adds:

“I feel the same way about her. If it wasn’t for her making that film, we would’ve been shrapnel by this point. It was just the toughest film we’d ever had to make, and we were partners together, you know? We held each other’s hand and supported each other.”
