This Chef Turns Leftover Pizza Into A Totally New Culinary Creation

On LittleThings’ Facebook Live show Slice, we invite brave and creative members of the food industry to take the “Leftover Makeover Challenge,” in which they make a new, inventive dish out of — you guessed it — leftovers.

This week, we have invited NYC-based chef Coby Farrow to put his culinary creativity to the test. The young chef is already a veteran in the food industry, working at some of the most famous hotspots in New York, including BLT Prime, Soho House, Barbuto, and most recently, the Strand Bistro.

To top off his impressive resumé, Chef Coby made waves in the Manhattan foodie scene as a founding member of The Secret Table, a group of chefs who host pop-up culinary events in closed restaurants.

Today, the talented chef will have to put his own spin on leftover pizza. As usual, he will have only 20 minutes to whip up his delicious dish.

He will also have access to the LittleThings’ pantry. Some of the pantry items include:

  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Basil
  • Tomato sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Sausage
  • Black olives
  • Oregano
  • Spinach

When the 20 minutes is up, the final product will be judged on taste, presentation, and creativity. Will Chef Coby be able to elevate this birthday party and tailgate snack to a gourmet meal?
