They Transform Mom’s Leftover Meatloaf Into A Totally Different Meal

Kate is a writer who laughs at her own jokes and likes to pour too much hot sauce on her food.

On Littlethings’ Facebook Live show The Leftover Makeover Challenge, we invite brave and creative members of the food industry to make a new, inventive dish out of — you guessed it — leftovers.

For this episode we have invited Josh and Mike Greenfield, also known as the Brothers Green. Despite their YouTube series, the duo does not have any formal training. Instead, they attribute their culinary prowess to compensating for their mother not being a great cook.

Of course, today the brothers’ skills are being put to the test to see if they can create a meal that’s not only edible, but delicious. They’ll have just 20 minutes and Mom’s meatloaf as their base.

The brothers will also have the contents of the pantry in our LittleThings kitchen at their disposal. Some of the pantry items include:

  • milk
  • eggs
  • cheese
  • spices
  • salt and pepper
  • bread crumbs
  • bread
  • mixed veggies
  • potatoes
  • beans
  • rice
  • couscous
  • quinoa
  • shredded cheeses
  • oil
  • vinegar
  • soy sauce
  • take-out sauce packets
  • tortillas
  • fresh herbs

Granted, the list of ingredients they can choose from may sound large, but without any plan and only 2o minutes to create a dish, they certainly have their work cut out for them.

The final product is going to be judged by a particularly picky foodie — known as the b****y waiter. The name says it all!
