Learning how to love yourself is sometimes hard no matter where you live.
As women, our bodies are under constant scrutiny. Even if you’re totally happy with the way you are, I’m sure you’ve experienced a moment or two when you felt that strange public gaze. It’s hard to ignore when our world is so saturated with what is considered normal or beautiful.
The fact of the matter is that we are all so, so different. Our bodies are built differently, our genes are constructed differently, and we all live different lifestyles. Someone who has time to go to the gym twice a day, for example, is going to look different than someone who doesn’t have that luxury. Someone who was born with a fast metabolism is often able to eat more and not worry about gaining a pound, while someone else will have to watch their meals more closely to avoid putting on weight.
It may not seem fair, but this is the way it is. And the fact of the matter is simple: We should all be able to love they way we are in this very moment.
