Kim Cattrall Slams Sarah Jessica Parker After Her Brother’s Death: ‘Stop Exploiting Our Tragedy’

by Lindsey Smith
Lindsey is from Florida and has worked in online and print media. Her happy place is Michaels craft store.

As LittleThings previously reportedSex and the City actress Kim Cattrall confirmed online that her 55-year-old brother, Chris, had been found dead in Canada just hours after he was officially reported missing last weekend.

Celebrities like fellow SATC actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon replied to Kim’s Instagram post once she confirmed the news.

Sarah wrote: “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.” Cynthia also commented on the post, writing: “Hey Kim such awful news. So sorry to hear. Sending you love. XO.”

In interviews since Chris’ death, Sarah Jessica Parker has extended her condolences to her former coworker. “If someone in your life, whether you’re in touch with them all the time or not, and they are suffering for any reason, it’s involuntary that you want to convey condolences or sadness… or just let someone know you’re thinking about them,” Sarah told Entertainment Tonight.

However, on February 10, 2018, Kim revealed in an Instagram post that she was not happy about Sarah reaching out. She wrote:

My Mom asked me today “When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.

At the time of posting, Sarah Jessica Parker had not responded to Kim’s message.
