When 22-year-old Kiki Baldassari went in to get her wisdom teeth removed, she probably knew there was a risk she would wake up seriously loopy.

Anyone who has ever had oral surgery or dental work knows that you can be pretty groggy when you wake up from the procedure.

That’s why you have to have someone there to pick you up and make sure that you get home safe and sound.

In Kiki’s case, that was her mom. And, boy, did Mom have an interesting experience getting her drugged-up daughter home, especially after the young woman bonded with a photograph of an adorable polar bear in the office.

Like the teenager who became convinced that her dentist removed her tongue, Kiki started fixating on a scenario that wasn’t exactly tethered to reality.

After seeing the polar bear in the office, Kiki became “obsessed” with finding it again.

Her mom, driving through the less-than-Arctic streets of Providence, Rhode Island, couldn’t do anything but laugh and keep driving as her loopy daughter called out the car window at every red light.

Her question for each driver they pass on the road? “Have you seen the polar bear?”

We have to admire Kiki’s willpower. Most people just want to lie down and eat ice chips after getting their wisdom teeth out.

Kiki, on the other hand, was prepared to go to any length necessary to find her polar bear.
