Khloé Kardashian has had a wild year. After struggling to have a child for quite some time with then-husband Lamar Odom, Khloé finally received the exciting news that she was pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson. She announced it to fans during the holidays and shared pictures of her pregnancy journey. This dream come true quickly gained a nightmarish quality when photos of Tristan being unfaithful took the internet by storm, just days before Khloé gave birth to her daughter, True Thompson. It isn’t the first time that Khloé has gone through very public relationship drama, and she handled it as best she could.
These days, Khloé is all about positivity. She’s excited about being a mom and loves sharing shots of adorable baby True. She’s working things out with Tristan (much to the dismay of many of her fans). She’s all about doing what’s right for her, on her terms, in her time. That’s why she has no time for people trying to shame her about her post-baby body, and she made sure to let Twitter know how she really feels.
Khloé has gotten in the best shape of her life in recent years. In an Instagram caption, she expressed that she’s forever a work in progress: “The best project you’ll ever work on is YOURSELF! Project KoKo is an everyday thing.”

Khloé had to take a break from said beast mode when she found out she was expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
Khloé’s pregnancy came at an exciting time for the family. Little sister Kylie Jenner was also pregnant with her first child. Older sister Kim Kardashian was expecting her third child via surrogate. All three ladies welcomed girls earlier this year!
True Thompson was born April 12. Khloé immediately fell in love with motherhood.
She did, however, miss her workouts. Khloé kept up with a light fitness regimen during her pregnancy but longed for the tough workouts that provided her an escape from her ever-hectic life.
Khloé has recently been able to get back to the gym, but photos of her new mom body — less than four months after giving birth! — have come under criticism.
At her fans’ urging, Khloé has spoken out on the difficulties of getting back into shape after having a baby. It hasn’t stopped the negativity hurled at her, with hurtful accusations claiming, among other things, that she’s already had plastic surgery to get her pre-baby body back.
She finally spoke out against “mommy/body shamers” in a few tweets. She expresses that the choice of what to do with your body after having a baby is a personal choice, and that there’s no right or wrong answer.
Motherhood looks completely different for each person who experiences it, so Khloé’s advice to be “patient and gentle with your journey” is solid. Pushing yourself to meet unrealistic standards of beauty or to please your significant other are not valid reasons to throw yourself back in the gym before you’re ready, which could lead to injury.

Your body can do incredible things, and nothing will prove that to be true more than carrying a baby. Patience and appreciation for the process is key to keeping not just your body but your mind in a good place.
