A 29-year-old woman who once feared the mere thought of trying onwedding dress finally got to walk down the aisle in one she loved.

“I just refused to go and try on wedding dresses,” Kerri Seales told news service SWNS. “I couldn’t do that to myself, and I was afraid it would ruin the experience for me if I was trying to squeeze into dresses when I was so unhappy with myself and my body.”

Kerri’s struggle to find the perfect dress for her wedding began in 2015, after her boyfriend proposed to her.

At the time, Kerri weighed 320 pounds. According to SWNS, at her heaviest she could eat six slices of pizza and a pint of ice cream in one sitting, eating until she felt “sick to her stomach.”

“How can you try on dresses when you don’t even want to look in the mirror?” Kerri said to SWNS.

But with her dream dress in mind, Kerri decided to make a change. She started dieting and exercising, starting with simple steps and remaining consistent.

Eventually, Kerri summoned up her courage and went dress shopping. She chose a gown with long sleeves and a sheer back — a dress she never would have worn weighing in at 320 pounds.

But after her hard work and dedication, she’d lost a total of 114 pounds.
