Airline Passengers Whip Out Phones To Record Kenny G Playing Surprise Sax Solo In Aisle

Most of us have experienced the unpleasant surprise of suddenly hearing a crying baby while traveling by airplane, but the group of passengers in the video below were happily treated to the sounds of something much more pleasant: Kenny G and his talents on soprano saxophone.

The musician agreed to the impromptu performance while mid-flight, but only if the passengers on board ponied up at least $1,000. Not for himself, of course, but for charity — specifically, Relay For Life.

Passengers pulled out their wallets and not only met the fundraising goal, but doubled it.

Of course, Kenny couldn’t leave them hanging after such a generous outpouring of support for those in need! He started by using the plane’s intercom as a microphone at the front with his back to the rest of the plane, but eventually made his way down the aisle with his instrument.

Unsurprisingly, pretty much everyone had their phones pulled out to record the incredible once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Clearly, it’s an effective way to not only provide much-needed financial support to charity, but keep passengers happily entertained while traveling through the air.

Take a look to see and hear Kenny’s beautiful in-flight tune in the clip below.
