Kelly Ripa And Ryan Seacrest Win Halloween With Multiple ‘Viral Moments’ Costumes

by Angela Andaloro

On Live With Kelly and Ryan, Halloween is serious business. Hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest enjoy nothing more than going all out for the holiday, and this year was no exception.

Not only do they get in on the fun, but they encourage their whole crew, audience, and guests to do so as well.

This year, Kelly and Ryan were all about the theme of “viral moments.” The two started things off by hopping on some horses in the middle of New York City to pay homage to one of the biggest songs of the year, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.” Later, the two donned shark costumes while performing “Baby Shark.”

The two switched gears to horror when they returned to the studio.

They pulled off Pennywise as a YouTube makeup guru and The Exorcist‘s Regan MacNeil doing the “Microwave challenge.” Kelly even dressed as the iconic Carrie, replacing the bucket of blood with the Ice Bucket challenge.

Kelly and Ryan also took on Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, donning the food costumes the two wore in the music video for “You Need to Calm Down.” There was also a nod to the classics, as Kelly and Ryan were transformed into boxed versions of Barbie and Ken dolls.

They weren’t the only morning show to go for the gusto this Halloween. The ladies of The View also donned horror-themed costumes. Whoopi Goldberg was Church, the cat from Pet Sematary. Abby Huntsman was Carrie. Sunny Hostin was Pennywise, and Joy Behar and Meghan McCain were the creepy twins from The Shining.
