It’s the holiday season, which means many of us are enjoying Kelly Clarkson’s renditions of our favorite Christmas classics.

But the first American Idol winner is spreading holiday cheer in more ways this year than just with her Christmas albums.

At her Miracle on Broadway concert on Friday, December 16, in downtown Nashville, Kelly helps a longtime fan propose to her longtime girlfriend.

Clarkson pauses from singing Christmas tunes to invite super fan Kiana Clark onto the stage. Her girlfriend of two years is also invited and follows her onto the stage.

The singer passes the microphone to Clark, who is about to very bravely pour her heart out to her girlfriend and the entire audience at the event.

Clark says, “I’ve traveled my whole life since I was like 10 years old and I’ve followed Kelly around for 13 years, all her tour stops and stuff, it was kind of my way of getting away and escaping.”

She continues, “I’ve never really had a place to call home until I met Amanda. She’s my home and we’ve been together for over two years now and we own a house together and there is no better way to propose than by doing so with the help of Miss Clarkson here.”

Clark then gets down on one knee in front of Amanda and asks her to “please marry me.”
