Kate Hudson just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! Both are reportedly healthy, happy, and doing well.
Kate and Danny named their daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa — and her unique name has a special story behind it.
“She’s here :two_hearts:,” Kate wrote on Instagram. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
The actress, author, and businesswoman has been waiting for this day since she found out she was pregnant early this year. She announced the pregnancy in April and has been documenting her third pregnancy on Instagram with the help of the father, Kate’s boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.
A source told Us Weekly in September that Kate is excited for Danny to become a dad.
“She is so happy for Danny and can’t wait for him to experience having a child of his own,” the source said. “She already knows this little lady will be a very lucky daddy’s girl. Danny is so good with kids and has been great with her boys.”
Kate absolutely loves her sons Ryder and Bingham, of course, but had been hoping that this baby would be a girl. Her pregnancy announcement in April came with a video from a gender reveal party that included black mystery balloons filled with either pink or blue balloons. Of course, when Kate and her helpers popped the black ones, pink balloons came floating out, and everybody screamed. Kate looked utterly ecstatic.
If Kate’s pregnancy photos weren’t enough, now we get to enjoy all the adorable baby girl pictures. Congratulations, Kate Hudson!
