It’s been a tough year for Jenni “JWoww” Farley. She recently filed for divorce from husband Roger Mathews, and although the pair seem to be reconciling and trying to work things out for the sake of their children, the 32-year-old reality star just revealed some heartbreaking news about their 2-year-old son, Greyson.

In an interview with Hollywood Life, Jenni confirmed that her son has been diagnosed with autism. Earlier this summer, she revealed Greyson had been exhibiting speech problems — mainly not being able to understand a lot of words and not being able to speak.

“Greyson, he was recently diagnosed with autism,” she told the publication. She also spoke about his therapies and the great strides he’s made thus far: “He has co-therapies [every] week but we’re going to step it up a notch soon and get him ABA treatments, speech therapy,” she said.

“He’s made leaps and bounds when it comes to speech. He’s understanding words better, which was his issue. Not that he couldn’t speak, but he would never know what his shoe is or if you said, ‘Greyson,’ he actually didn’t even know his name at one point until he was a little over two. So now that he’s understanding simple words, he’s come so far.”

Jenni also posted a picture of Greyson’s sensory room on her Instagram page.

Any child’s diagnosis is hard on a parent, but thankfully, the autism community is one of constant support.
