With spring in the air, it’s the perfect time of year to celebrate the profusion of beautiful blooms lighting up gardens and window boxes as far as the eye can see!

From the gorgeous cherry blossoms stretching across D.C. to the humble little crocuses popping up in New England, flowers are the reason for the season, and there are a million clever DIY ways to pay homage to nature’s prettiest and most decorative creations.

Take, for example, our favorite baby shower gift ever, a precious bouquet of baby socks for brand-new tootsies! In fact, the idea is so cute, we wanted to find a way to adapt it to different occasions.

For weddings, birthdays, and other occasions where socks might not be an appropriate gift, why not try a bouquet of beautiful — and delicious — handmade roses instead?

Skip expensive cut flowers in favor of delicious bloom-shaped lollipops, made out of ordinary Jolly Ranchers!

To create the effect, simply heat five to seven Jolly Ranchers in near-boiling water. Before they cool, remove from the wrapper, smooth in petal shapes, and twist around a lollipop stick or skewer! Allow to cool, then repeat until you have a whole bouquet of beautiful pops!
