Janet Jackson fans, rejoice! The 52-year-old legend is taking her talents to Vegas.
This year, Janet will have her very own residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas.
That’s the same venue where other legends have previously had residencies, including Lady Gaga and Cher.
The star announced the big news on Twitter on Tuesday morning, revealing the official name of her new residency.
“Hey u guys, I’m so excited to announce my new Vegas residency, ‘Metamorphosis!'” she wrote.
Janet added that tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday morning. The show officially begins on May 17, with 15 concert dates between May and August.
Tickets start at $79, so go ahead and start saving!
Janet has been killing it onstage since 1982. She’s over 50 now, but she hasn’t slowed down — she still tours, releases new music, and slays on the red carpet. Janet’s most recent tour was in 2017.
Now the singer has a 2-year-old son at home, which is maybe why she’s opting to begin a residency rather than travel all over the world to perform. Fellow new mama Cardi B also just announced her own Vegas residency.
So what will the Metamorphosis experience be like, exactly? Let’s just say no avid Janet fan will be disappointed by her plans for this show.
