Jamie Pugh was nearing his forties when he decided to take a major life-risk. The husband and pizza delivery man was disappointed in his career advancements, but never gave up on his childhood dream.

Ever since he saw “Les Miserables” as a little boy, Jamie dreamed of singing like the Broadway stars. Nearly 30 years later, he finally decided it was time to take a chance and attempt to overcome his fear of performing in public.

When he took to the Britain’s Got Talent stage, the judges were wary. Not only was he older than most performers the judges had even seen, but he was also one of the most nervous contestants to ever take the stage. He admitted to Simon that he suffered from crippling stage fright, and wondered if he’d even be able to get through the song.

But then Jamie began his performance of “Bring Him Home” from “Les Miserables,” the very show that instilled in him a love of singing. The judges, as you’ll see in the video below, were not expecting that voice to come out of him.

You’re about to see why Jamie’s performance went massively viral with nearly 11 million YouTube views. Never judge a book by its cover.
