When Jacqueline, a mother from Sydney, Australia, went into labor with her third child, doctors told her she would need an immediate angiogram following her C-section.
To make matters even worse, she was also at serious risk of a stroke.
To ensure her delivery would live on forever in some form, regardless of what happened during her delivery, Jacqueline made the bold decision to record her entire caesarean section on her mobile phone — and then share the footage online. As a result, viewers around the world have been given a rare glimpse into birth from a mother’s perspective.
In the stunning video below, a nurse holds up Jacqueline’s phone to capture the exact moment her baby girl is pulled from her womb. The doctors congratulate Jacqueline on the successful birth of her new daughter as she lets out tears of joy.
Of course, the decision to share such an intimate experience isn’t for everyone, but those of us who are fascinated with the birthing process (and are not as squeamish) appreciate the opportunity to witness this miracle unfolding.
