In August of 2013, travelers flying into and out of Ireland’s Dublin Airport were treated to an incredible surprise in the form of an epic flash mob.

To kick of their tour across Ireland, the cast of Take The Floor — an international lineup in association with Riverdance and representing 11 different countries — decided to get in on the viral sensation of flash mobs by leaving airport goers completely stunned.

As soon as the fleet of young dancers made their way down the escalator, filed perfectly in line, I knew something special was about to happen. Within seconds, more than 60 of the world’s leading Irish dancers flood the terminal and break into a routine set to original music from Beoga.

The dangers do such a great job of showcasing their awe-inspiring synchronicity and infectious joy. They just don’t miss a single beat!

Airport travel may not be the most relaxing experience — in fact, it can be downright stressful. But it’s surprises like this one that make the thought of flying seem just a bit more exciting. Now, why can’t this ever happen when I go to the airport?!
