Hunter Smashes Through Frozen Lake To Rescue Drowning Buck Trapped Under The Water

As the weather gets colder, lots of lakes, ponds, and other small bodies of water are starting to freeze up. When one hunter spotted something in a partially frozen lake, he knew he had to jump into action.

Justin Wyman contacted a local game warden and together, they rushed over to the buck in a boat.

They had to smash through the icy surface around the struggling animal to propel their boat forward.

In the video below, posted on December 4, 2017, they inch closer and closer to the drowning buck with each crack they make in the hard ice.

The men rush over as fast as they can. Once they reach the poor buck, they tie a rope around him.

Because the water is still partially frozen, they have to pull the animal back to safe, dry land. Thankfully, the two are able to rescue the woodland creature and bring him ashore, where he has to warm up and get his color back before he can truly return home.

Eventually, the buck feels all right again and runs back to his family in the woods.

Now that’s a very successful rescue — and all thanks to this hunter and the game patrol crew.

Check out the incredible mission in the video below, and please SHARE if you’re glad the buck was safely brought back to land!
