We’ve seen plenty of stunning images from Hurricane Irma.

From the havoc the storm has wreaked on islands to the amazing ways rescuers are lending a hand, there has been no shortage of news from Hurricane Irma.

But this is something I’ve never seen before: an entire beach, dried up from the storm surge.

According to ViralHog, this footage was taken in the Bahamas. It shows an entire beach without any water, as the water has been dragged out with the storm.

“This was taken during the end of Hurricane Irma in the Bight, Long Island, Bahamas,” said the man who filmed the video. “I was on my way to see if there was any damage to my business and decided to check my friend’s house for damages. There is no more ocean! As far as the eye can see.”

I live surrounded by beaches and have lived through a few hurricanes myself, but I have never seen anything like this. There really is no more ocean as far as the eye can see.

There is also some footage of what the beach looked like one day later, when the water returned.
