A disgruntled employee kept noticing the fruit and snacks on his desk were being taken by a mysterious somebody, so he set up a “technological sting operation” to figure it out.
In 2012, YouTube user “Searchforliveful” said he got so fed up with the stealing after a whole month that he set up a small webcam on top of his computer screen.
Right off the bat, it was clear who was stealing off his desk. But that’s where the real fun begins.
The employee set a new screensaver on his computer so that anyone who walked by would see it.
“I know who you are,” the screensaver read. “Stop stealing my things, or I will report you.” He positioned the monitor to capture the surprised and confused reactions.
One by one, the office employees notice the strange message on the computer screen. Finally, our suspect catches wind that she’s been identified. Watch the video below to see her reaction.
It’s no wonder this funny and inventive video has received over 3 million YouTube views.
