Doctors Refuse To Let Sick Groom Go To His Wedding, So Bride Ends Up Saying Vows Twice In 1 Day

Just days before his wedding day, Kit Bargmann came down with a fever. He and his fiancee Jourdan thought that it would pass eventually, but they were wrong: just 4 days later, the groom was admitted to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Then, things went from bad to worse when his kidneys started failing. With his wedding just around the corner, he was hoping to be able to stand at the altar to say his vows, but doctors refused to let him.  If he left the hospital, he could die.

Jourdan couldn’t let that happen but also didn’t want the couple to miss their wedding day. Friends and family stepped in to help by organizing a ceremony at the hospital.

Jourdan and Kit were able to look into one another’s eyes and exchange vows.

They even had cake!

But that wasn’t all: they still had their reservation at the Lake House, where the two were to be married. The ceremony there went on as planned: the groom couldn’t physically be present, but thanks to modern technology, he was able to get married for the second time that day.

The two don’t have plans for a honeymoon, so Kit can take all the time he needs to get better. Doctors say that he’s on the mend!
