It’s good to know that no matter where you go in this beautiful world of ours there will always be some people out there who will happily risk getting injured just so they can save a life.

It was a perfectly normal day for a group of cyclists in France when they noticed a large mass struggling off the side of the road. When they got a bit closer they saw what it was: a horse that was surely about to die.

After unknown hours of being stuck in a small but thick bog, this beautiful animal was getting more and more exhausted with each movement. Just when he finally managed to get one hoof free, the other leg sank deeper and deeper, which would force his free leg down and get him even more trapped.

It seems that the more he struggled, the worse things got. It soon became clear that he was not going to be alive for much longer. He would either sink deeper and drown, die of exhaustion, or suffer the consequences of not eating or drinking for days and days.

Thankfully, those cyclists saw the problem, and instantly devised a solution. It wasn’t pretty, but they wrapped that stuck horse with as much rope as they could find, and using people power they pulled and pulled until the poor animal was finally free. It must have felt so good to have his feet on dry land again!

While the horse was a bit shaken up, he was healthy and happy and certainly thankful for his human friends!
