Man Walks Away Unstung After Removing 1 Million Hornets And A Refrigerator-Sized Nest From Shack

Jude Verret was called to a home in Patterson, Louisiana, to remove a huge hornets nest. “We got here what I would say is the granddaddy of all hornets nests,” he said.

“I tell people it was as big as a full-sized refrigerator.”

Jude recorded his extraction using a GoPro and posted the video to his Facebook page on November 21, 2017. Since uploading the footage, the video has received more than 6 million views.

The yellow jacket hornets nest infestation was inside of a family’s shed. Jude wrote in the comments of his video that it probably took around a year for the nest to get that big. He also mentioned there were around a million hornets!

Luckily, Jude is a professional and was covered head-to-toe in protective clothing as he removed the humongous nest.

He miraculously didn’t get stung by a single hornet, which could otherwise be deadly. He wrote in the comments of his video that he wore two bee suits to take extra precaution during this removal.

In the video below, you can hear thousands of hornets buzzing all around Jude — it’s enough to give anyone chills.

He took apart the nest piece by piece and sprayed the pests to kill them. At the end of his Facebook video, Jude put the nest on the ground and got down next to it to show just how massive it was.
