I never like to let food go to waste. Anytime I have leftovers, I make sure to take them home to enjoy later.

But leftovers aren’t really as good as original meals. At least, that’s what I thought until I spotted this cool recipe below!

Just like the recipe for chocolate cake that uses repurposed ice cream, this recipe makes something completely new and unexpected out of one of my favorite foods: French fries.

Not only is this French fry soup recipe a great way to use leftover fries for a new, delicious meal, but it is extremely easy as well.

  • 2 lbs. French fries
  • 1/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 cans cheddar soup
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • Bacon bits, as garnish
  • Chives, as garnish

  1. Combine French fries, onions, soup, and milk in blender.
  2. Blend on high.
  3. Pour contents into slow cooker.
  4. Cook on high for three hours.
  5. Serve and garnish with bacon bits and chives, as desired.

Now whenever I have French fries in my fridge, I have a tasty option rather than simply reheating them.
