Authorities were able to track down and locate a missing teen thanks to the actions of a homeless woman.

According to FOX17, Caroline Davis lives on the streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

But her struggles didn’t stop her from helping keep 15-year-old Isaiah Burrows safe.

FOX17 reported Isaiah’s disappearance after he went missing near his home. They asked their viewers to be on the lookout for the teen.

Caroline’s FOX17 news app alerted her to a missing teen in the area. Coincidentally, she saw him earlier, but didn’t recognize him. It wasn’t until she saw him trying to board a bus three days later that she realized he was the missing teen.

Caroline quickly jumped into action. “I showed her [the bus driver] your [FOX17] app. I showed her the picture, I showed her what was going down,” Caroline said. “I said, ‘We can’t let him get away because he’s 15 years old.”

An officer arrived and confirmed Isaiah’s identity. They took him into their custody on a juvenile-related charge.

Caroline expressed her desire to get him off the streets for his own safety. “I’m out here sleeping homeless and I know how dangerous it is and if I’m scared, I know good and well he was scared,” she said. “Just stay home and stay safe because these streets are no joke.”
