When Kayla Tartaglia returned home from the convenience store, she realized she’d left her wallet there.
It had all her money in it, plus her driver’s license and the keys to her home.
She immediately called the store to see if anyone had turned it in, but no one had seen it.
Kayla, who lives in Philadelphia, figured someone stole her wallet and everything inside … and that it was gone forever.
But just 24 hours later, Kayla’s faith in humanity was fully restored.
When she went to check her mailbox, there was her wallet — sitting right there as if nothing had happened.
Then she opened the wallet.
“Nothing was touched,” Kayla said. “Not a penny was gone.”
But the most surprising and heartwarming twist of all was the note Kayla found sitting neatly on top of her brown leather wallet … written by a homeless man named Jim.
