The judges of Britain’s Got Talent were ready for their next contestant to take the stage. A little girl named Hollie Steel entered, wearing a pink ballerina tutu and a slick bun in her hair.
Quickly, the music began and the 10-year-old started her classical ballet routine to the song “I Could Have Danced All Night” from the movie and musical My Fair Lady.
It was clear that the judges weren’t too fond of the performance, their facial expressions saying it all. It seemed as if they thought it would just be a good dance from another ballerina, but nothing special. Still, the little girl hopped around and landed her jumps to the music.
She was doing a great job, but a ballet routine obviously wasn’t what the judges wanted to see from her.
In the video below, posted on September 4, 2012, Simon Cowell looks like he is the judge who is bothered the most by the audition.
Suddenly, Hollie stops dancing and stands still as the music continues to play. Then she opens her mouth to sing the song.
Simon sits back in his seat with eyes the size of dinner plates. He can’t believe the voice coming out of the singing ballerina. He then looks over to the rest of the panel to see if they are as shocked as he is — and they are.
To hear this singing ballerina’s unexpected voice, check out the video below. You might be just as surprised as Simon!
