Going on a nice long vacation with the family is a wonderful way to step away from the daily monotonies of life.

Cruising through unknown places in beautiful climates does wonders for the body and soul.

However, when it’s time to come back to reality, going back to doing things like your chores and waking up for work in the morning can be hard to get back into.

Laundry is one of the worst of them, especially since there are so many dirty clothes leftover from your vacation time away from a washer and a dryer.

When Harley the Cockatoo got home from a European vacation with his human family, there was some housework to be done.

Harley, unlike most other birds, likes to try and help out with the chores where she’s able.

While it might have been faster for a human to load the laundry into and out of the washer and dryer, Harley insisted on doing her part. She is, after all, part of the family, and he’s got to do her fair share! She knows what it means to be part of a household.

The best part is that you can see how much fun she’s having. Cockatoos are very intelligent creatures that need to play tons of games and have tons of stimulation in general in order to stay happy. Birds, much like us, get stressed out very easily if they’re left alone, or if they are under stimulated.

What better way to keep on her toes than to help out around the house?
