2 Helpers Rush To Place Mat For Gym-Wheel Contestant During Her Routine So She Can Nail Landing

I have always been very impressed by gymnasts: they seem to be able to contort their bodies in nearly impossible ways, proving that they are more flexible and graceful than most people!

Of course, it takes a lot of practice and patience to have the courage to perform in front of an audience and judges.

But if you thought normal gymnastics was thrilling to watch, check out this performance from the 2016 World Championships in Wheel Gymnastics. Perhaps you’ve heard of this sport, but whether or not you have, it’ll definitely knock your socks off!

In the clip below, contestant Miho Tsukioka steps up to wow the judges with her routine. She takes her time stepping on the wheel — and for three minutes, she kicks, twirls, and spins around. It’s almost like gravity has no effect on her at all!

Though her performance is quite impressive, it’s not perfect. At the very beginning, her footing is a bit unsure, but she gains confidence as she gets into the routine.

At the very end, two helpers run toward the wheel as it’s moving and place a thick mat down. Just seconds after they move out of the way, the performer nails her landing!

Miho may have come in at 25th place in the competition, but I’m still totally impressed!
