For anyone who thinks that they should be able to tell you what you can and cannot do because of your age, you might want to show them a 78-year-old grandmother named Shirley Webb.
A few years ago, Webb could barely get off the couch and she never had the strength to climb up the stairs without desperately holding onto the railing. But when her 20-year-old granddaughter was telling her about her workout schedule, suddenly Webb found herself inspired to beat back her weakness and train her body to become perfect!
Going several times a week, Webb began lifting weights at a very steady pace. She began with 40-pound lifts, but after a lot of time and a lot of hard work she eventually managed to gain muscle strength, self-confidence and health.
She’s been keeping healthy for two years now, and now she has no trouble leaping off the couch and running up the stairs.
But while her journey is still moving forward, her biggest achievement so far was captured on film when she managed to deadlift 245 pounds!
This woman is a true inspiration to everyone of all ages. If you’re presented with a problem in life, there is nothing that can stand in your way if you push hard enough and believe in yourself!
