Grandfather Who Celebrates Christmas Alone Comes Up With An Amazing Plan

When a lonely grandfather got a voice message from his daughter and granddaughter, he went from excitement to utter heartbreak in just a few sentences.

For whatever reason, his daughter wasn’t going to be able to make it home for Christmas, as this man sadly sat at home, his other children regretted to inform him that they weren’t going to be able to make it either.

One son was away on business in China; another son was busy working at the hospital; for some, the trip was just too far or too expensive or too time-consuming. Each of his children had a great excuse as to why they couldn’t come, but that’s all they were, excuses.

So this fed-up man decided he was going to do something drastic about it. If he couldn’t get his children to come along for Christmas of all holidays, a time of season where everyone should be celebrating their faith along with their family, then he was going to force his family to come home.

This grandfather decided to tell his family that he died.

While certainly a bit over the top, this man’s plan worked perfectly. He sent out his own funeral invitations to each of his children, and as they walked through his door to look at their old childhood home, they were shocked with whom they saw standing in the doorway.

And with his whole family there, Grandpa had just one thing to say that left everyone in tears.
