It was a Friday night in Millington, Michigan, when four girls walked into a Speedway gas station to purchase some snacks.

The girls, ranging in age from 11 to 14, walked inside the store and bought several drinks, including a cup of hot coffee.

Little did they know a stranger had been spying on their every move and was about to attack.

Bruce Hipkins, 22, was captured on surveillance cameras inside the gas station, lurking behind the girls. He quietly watched them buy their items and followed them back outside when they left.

The girls eventually realized they were being followed by the man and tried avoiding him.

They noticed the dollar store across the street was much better lit, so they took off in that direction to get away from him.

Lauren Eickhoff, 13, watched in horror as the man suddenly came up behind her 11-year-old sister, Allison, the youngest of the bunch. Lauren began screaming, but it was too late.

The man attacked Allison and got her in his grip. “You’re coming with me,” he told her, grabbing her face and leaving her frozen in fear.

But the other three girls weren’t about to let him take Allison away. They worked in tandem to fight him off, but he was much bigger and stronger.

That’s when Lauren remembered what she was holding in her hand — the cup of hot coffee she’d just bought from the gas station.
