Legendary actress, singer, and dancer Ginger Rogers passed away in 1995, but the current owners of her birthplace are certain she’s still hanging around the premises.

The Ginger Rogers Home is located in Independence, Missouri. According to WDAF Kansas City, Marge Padgitt and her husband bought the home a year and a half ago and began renovations on it in the hopes of opening a Ginger Rogers museum — but purported visits from the actress herself have been putting a halt to construction.

Marge says she first saw Ginger’s apparition standing on the porch shortly after they purchased the home.

Marge called Kansas City Paranormal shortly after that. During a daytime visit, investigator Stephanie T. also saw Ginger’s apparition. This time, Ginger was smiling at her from the porch, in the same spot Marge had seen her standing.

Kansas City Paranormal did a nighttime investigation of the home and believe they came into contact with Ginger’s ghost. Luckily, they got the whole thing on camera.

I don’t want to spoil it, but the encounter gave me goose bumps.

Marge believes that the construction on the home is causing Ginger to appear, and that she is telling them to take care of her childhood home.
