Over the decades, country legend Garth Brooks has put smiles on a lot of fans’ faces. But none were quite as big as those he inspired during a recent visit to the Children’s Health hospital in Dallas.

Garth and his charity, Teammates for Kids, helped to remodel the young patients’ play area with fun, new therapeutic activities. It’s just one of many ways the singer has reached out to help others in need throughout his career.

Plus, the area allows them to interact with other kids who might be going through similar hardships, providing an opportunity for them to form uplifting friendships. After all, lifting the spirits of children being treated at the hospital can make a huge difference in their overall health and recovery.

As Garth explains in the video below, their natural resilience is nothing short of amazing — but it can also be depleted, so it’s important for them to have places like this and be able to recharge.

It’s always heartwarming to see those in the entertainment industry use their money and influence to give back to those who need it the most.

Take a look to hear more from Garth about the incredible new space he’s helped to provide for the young patients at the Dallas hospital.
