Country legend Garth Brooks has put a lot of smiles on his fans’ faces over his decades as a performer, but none were quite as big as the ones he inspired while on a recent visit to the Children’s Health hospital in Dallas.

Garth and his charity, Teammates for Kids, helped to remodel the young patients’ play area with fun new therapeutic activities. It’s just one of many ways the singer has reached out to help others in need throughout his career.

Plus, the area allows them to interact with other kids who might be going through similar hardships so they can form uplifting friendships.

After all, lifting the spirits of the children being treated at the hospital can make a huge difference in their overall health and recovery.

As Garth explains in the video below, their natural resilience is nothing short of amazing — but it can also be depleted, so it’s important for them to have places like this that they can use to re-charge.

It’s always heartwarming to see those in the entertainment industry use their money and power to give back to those who need it the most.

Take a look to hear more from Garth about the incredible new space he helped to provide for the young patients at the Dallas hospital.
