As someone who’s not too talented when it comes to whipping up things in the kitchen, I love finding simple recipes that are not only a snap to make, but also fun!

And the recipe for some delicious — and gorgeous — galaxy doughnuts definitely fits that category. Of course, it helps that you’re not baking the doughnuts from scratch. Still, just adding the special icing on top will totally impress anyone lucky enough to have you serve them up.

Rachael Ray’s longtime friend and culinary producer Jeanette Donnarumma even admits that she’s not a huge fan of baking, so you know it’s going to be a breeze.

All you need is the aforementioned regular cake doughnuts, a box of confectioner’s sugar, some vanilla extract, food coloring, and starry sprinkles of your choice.

I’m sure your kids or grandkids would have a blast helping you whip these up! It’s pretty much impossible to mess up with these bright swirling colors.

They’d obviously also be a great treat for a youngster’s space-themed birthday party — or even some whimsical grown-up festivities! There’s no age limit when it comes to yummy fun.

Take a look to see how easy these scrumptious galaxy doughnuts are and you’ll totally want to whip up your own batch.

And be sure to SHARE the simple recipe with your friends!
