Gal Gadot doesn’t just play Wonder Woman on the big screen — she’s a superhero in real life, too!
The 33-year-old actress recently took some time off from filming the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel in Washington, DC, to visit sick kids at a local children’s hospital, CBS News reports.
Dressed up in her character’s red and gold suit, Gal popped by Inova Children’s Hospital in Virginia last Friday to deliver toys, sign autographs, dole out hugs, and take pictures with patients and their families.
Kelly Sahady told CBS that Gal held and kissed her 7-month-old daughter Karalyne, who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer five months ago.
“I was in the room and I was talking to one of the doctors with my daughter in the middle of getting an IV antibiotic treatment and in walks Wonder Woman, fully costumed,” Kelly recalled.
She went on to add, “You know, sometimes they have people come through but it’s never actually the real celebrity… after all this time being in there for so long [for Karalyne’s treatment], it was a real treat to have this happen.”
“You know we’re fans for life now,” Kelly concluded.
A true Wonder Woman indeed! See adorable snapshots from Gal’s visit in the video below.
