Congrats are in order for actress Gabrielle Union and her hubby! The Bring It On star surprised fans and followers by revealing that she and NBA star Dwyane Wade welcomed their first child together via surrogate.

The 46-year-old actress made the unexpected announcement via Instagram on Thursday, November 8. The post featured several sweet family photos of the couple cradling their brand-new baby girl, and the caption included lyrics from the Bill Withers song “Lovely Day.”

“When I wake up in the mornin’ love / And the sunlight hurts my eyes / And there’s something without warning, love / Bears heavy on my mind / Then I look at you / And the world’s alright with me / Just one look at you / And I know its gonna be / A lovely day / A lovely day,” the Being Mary Jane actress wrote. “A LOVELY DAY 👶🏾👶🏾👶🏾 We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days.

Welcome to the party sweet girl!”

Gabrielle and Dwyane married in August 2014 after several years together. Entertainment Tonight reports that Gabrielle is a stepmom to Dwyane’s three sons from previous relationships: Zaire, 16; Zion, 11; and Xavier, 4.

While the actress and her husband kept their surrogacy top secret, Gabrielle has been open about her fertility struggles in the past. She previously revealed that she’d suffered “eight or nine miscarriages” before turning to surrogacy to finally have her daughter after years of trying to conceive.

All the best to the happy couple with their new bundle of joy!
