One of my favorite parts of summer every single year is going to the state fair — from the rides to the games, I love it all. But without a doubt, one of the best parts is the food.

State fairs are known for their corn on the cob, delicious lemonade, and fried everything. If you want any sort of fried dessert, they have it — fried candy bars, fried cookies, fried cheesecake, etc.

The list of fried foods offered at state fairs goes on forever, but the best fried dessert will always be the classic funnel cake.

If you find yourself craving sweet, warm funnel cake all year, don’t just wait around for the state fair — make it yourself!

Making funnel cake is actually a lot easier than you might imagine, and you can make it any flavor you want.

In the video below, watch to see how to make chocolate chip funnel cake, blueberry funnel cake, and red velvet funnel cake!

All you need for these three types of funnel cake are mini chocolate chips, blueberry puree, cocoa powder, and red food coloring — add those to some regular old pancake batter and you’re set!
