A beautiful, snowy day may mean playtime for most dogs. But one puppy needed a lot of help when he somehow got himself stuck and frozen to a patch of snow.
In the video below, posted February 23, 2018, an amazing dog rescue out of Russia is caught on camera after some friends spotted a dog in the snow.
As you can see in the footage, the canine is covered in ice and actually frozen to the ground. One patient man uses a sharp hatchet to hack away at the snow and ice surrounding the freezing puppy.
The puppy stays calm and doesn’t bark or growl at the strangers. It’s as if he knows they are there to rescue him. The man carefully pulls thick chunks of ice off the dog’s paws and eventually frees him.
The little dog only whimpers once and is immediately calm again. After a short time, the dog is completely freed from the frozen ground, and the remaining bits of ice are carefully removed from his fur.
“We found this puppy frozen in the snow. He was not hurting. His paws did not freeze, and he was OK,” the owner of the video told the video site ViralHog.
