When a young person graduates from college, many times they can feel just as lost (if not more so) than when they first started out.
New Yorker Sarah Brasky graduated from college with a degree in education and was well on her way to becoming an excellent teacher, but something just didn’t feel right. Sometimes you have to look deep within yourself to find the answers you’re looking for and that’s exactly what worked for Brasky when she knew she should be doing something different.
Brasky, who has been a passionate dog enthusiast her entire life, decided to channel her love for canines and answer the call for a much-needed fostering service in the New York area.
She founded Foster Dogs NYC, an amazing organization dedicated to making a difference by finding short-term homes for many dogs stuck at local shelters in need of a second chance.
A dog can change a person’s life in so many ways. Much of Sarah’s inspiration on this journey comes from her experience with her own two rescue dogs, Ozzy and Shaggy. In the following video, we see how Ozzy and Shaggy have truly become brothers and get to help other dogs in need through their mom’s wonderful mission.

Sarah Brasky is the founder of Foster Dogs NYC, an organization that pairs dogs in need of homes with people who are looking to help temporarily or for the rest of their lives.
At work, she sees many different kinds of dogs, but when she gets home there are only two canines who have her heart, the organization's unofficial "mascots," Ozzie and Shaggy.
These pooches may like to play-fight over their Kong toy in the video below, but as you can see here, they are truly the best of friends!
Hopefully these amazing animals will inspire others to foster dogs in need of loving homes!
