When Flo Essex was just a little girl, she asked her father for something very special and close to her heart. She had seen many colorful gypsy caravans on the road and wanted to have one, too.
Her father told her she would get a caravan one day, even saying that he’d make it for her. Unfortunately, that day never came and the loving dad’s promise was never fulfilled for his daughter — until Jim came along.
Flo met Jim at a fairground when they were teenagers. They’ve been together ever since. Now, Flo is 87 and Jim is 91, but that’s not stopping them from making each other’s dreams come true!
In the video below, posted on October 11, 2017, we see a bright green gypsy caravan behind Flo and Jim.
Eight decades after Flo’s dad promised her a caravan, her husband bought her a hand-painted one to enjoy.
After 80 years, Jim helped fulfill his wife’s father’s promise.
The coolest part? The caravan was made in 1930, the year Flo was born. There is no doubt that this special surprise means the world to Flo and will serve as a reminder about how much her father and husband love her.
Check out Flo’s new caravan in the video below, and please SHARE if you are glad her dream finally came true with the help of her devoted husband!
