Growing up, moving on, and getting closer and closer to adulthood can be difficult at times.
Some of us tend to hold onto certain things. I know that I personally have a stuffed cat at my parents’ house that’s so well-loved, it’s been mistaken for road kill before. I just can’t seem to let her go, no matter how old I get. I have a feeling that I never will.
Who am I kidding, of course I won’t.
Others keep blankets, birthday cards from loved ones, or other childhood toys, but there are certain things that you just can’t keep the same forever.
Do you remember getting your first haircut? I remember sitting in my backyard with a big blue smock around my neck, and my mother giving me a blunt bob in the Virginia shade.
Lily, however, waited a very long time to get her first haircut. Ever since the day she was born, all the way up to 6 years and 4 months old, she never even had a trim. Her hair grew all the way down to the back of her knees, but she never found any reason to get it cut.
Then, when her family went on a trip to London together, she got the big idea to make the extra-special memory during that time with everyone.
