Firefighter Carries Unresponsive Dog Out Of Burning Home, Then Pumps Oxygen ‘Til He Can Breathe

Every dog rescue is drastically different. Some involve good samaritans, others include the police. When the Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a burning home in California, they became an animal rescue team too.

In the video below, posted on July 19, 2017, a lone firefighter walks out of the blaze carrying and unresponsive white dog in his arms.

The tiny canine had been stunned by the fire and smoke and desperately needed someone to spark his body into revival.

The firefighter lays the poor dog down and he and his crew strategize together. They pull out an oxygen mask and stroke his stomach, trying to press into his lungs. The firefighters‘ main focus now is the dog’s revival.

Soon, they place the oxygen mask over the little guy’s face and feed him some much needed air. Slowly but surely, the tiny dog starts taking bigger and bigger breaths.

He finally returning to his normal state as the firefighters monitor all of his progress along the way.

Once the firefighters see fit, they remove the equipment from the dog’s snout. Their revival of the unresponsive dog is successful and they hand the family pet off to be reunited with his owners at last.
