Family Of 17 Leaves Clean Clothes In Trash Bags, Until Complete Stranger Transforms Laundry Room

by Jess Catcher
Jess grew up in Oklahoma before moving to New York to become a writer. She has a cat named Agnes.

Every family knows how frustrating it can be to deal with piles of laundry, but the Adkins family from Georgia were especially overwhelmed.

They were trying to handle loads of laundry from all 17 members of their family in their tiny laundry room.

Thankfully, when Rachael Ray heard about their hectic situation, she knew her friend and organizational expert Peter Walsh could easily transform their cramped laundry room into a much more functional space.

Obviously, having such a huge family can be more than a handful for just two parents to take care of on a day-to-day basis, but it’s clear that everyone in this close-knit clan does their part to help life go as smoothly as possible.

However, with so many people, it also means they’ve had to let a few chores slide through the cracks, as mom Lachelle says to the camera, admitting, “Clutter seems to be our last name.”

My family was nowhere nearly as large as this one, and I know we struggled with the same frustrating issue.

I wish Rachael Ray had sent expert organizer Peter to our home back in the day, because he clearly knows how to not only solve a problem but also knows how to make sure everyone has fun while doing so!

His genius, yet simple, transformation of the Adkins’ laundry room will definitely make their lives much easier.
