The ending of a relationship is never easy. Whether you were together six months, a year, or a decade, parting ways will always sting.

How you handle that split can say a lot about you as a person. For some, it is hard to separate and remain on good terms.

For Rebecca Hernandez and her ex-husband, Frankie, there is no bad blood. The couple began dating in high school and later married in 2012.

But they were both young when they got married, and Rebecca told BuzzFeed that the couple began having problems that they were both at fault for.

They may have split two years ago, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t spoken since. In fact, Frankie sends a card to Rebecca’s house every year — for their dog, Apollo!

Rebecca shared her story on Twitter and it has since gone viral, with many people sharing their appreciation and support of the former couple.

Rebecca and Frankie adopted Apollo when he was just a month old. He has kept them on their toes ever since!

They split two years ago, though they haven’t officially filed for divorce.

Frankie hasn’t stopped being a part of Apollo’s life, though. The dog lives with Rebecca, but when Frankie is in town visiting his family, he’ll stop by to see Apollo.

On Apollo’s birthday, Frankie is a good doggy dad and sends him a card with a present. This year, Apollo got a gift card to Petco!

Frankie also wrote a heartfelt and very long message.

Needless to say, this was the perfect story for Twitter fans, as thousands of people have commented, shared, and liked the post. Some even zoomed in to read what Frankie wrote!

Rebecca wrote on Twitter that she and Frankie no longer had each other’s numbers after the split, but have since FaceTimed to thank everyone for all of their support and love sent for Apollo.
